CE Marking demonstrates compliance with the appropriate manufacturing standard for a specific type of product. It is a manufacturer’s declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislation.
As a symbol, it will be familiar to most as it has been a requirement for many years on products such as toys and electrical goods where safety is critical.
CE Marking of construction products is becoming mandatory in all member states throughout the European Union and the European Economic Area.
